England Watch - Women | July 4

Round Six of the Betfred Women’s Super League took place over the weekend. Here is a look at how your England stars fared over the weekend.

St Helens hosted Huddersfield Giants at the Totally Wicked Stadium on Sunday afternoon and was shown live on Our League.

Amy Hardcastle opened the scoring inside the first minute after she grounded a loose ball in the in-goal area. Hardcastle added a try in the second half.

Winger, Leah Burke, impressed on Saturday afternoon as she scored four tries, including an interception a Burke caught the ball from a stray pass and raced to score. Jodie Cunningham and Shonya Hoyle were both on the scoresheet during St Helens 62-0 against Huddersfield.

Half-backs Zoe Harris and Beth Stott both added points from conversions. Harris converted one goal from four attempt, meanwhile Stott converted six of eight.

Emily Rudge and Tara Jones both featured for Derek Hardman’s side.

The other game in Group One, saw Leeds make the trip to Wigan’s Robin Park to face Wigan Warriors.

Caitlin Beevers impressed for Leeds with a hat-trick on Sunday afternoon.  Courtney Winfield-Hill converted six goals in the 48-12 win for the Rhinos. Dannielle Anderson, Fran Goldthrop and Keara Bennett also featured for Lois Forsell’s side.

Georgia Wilson started at full-back for the Wigan Warriors during the defeat.
