Get your team Ahead of the Game with Rugby League Cares

Rugby League Cares understands that – as a club – you care about each and every one of your players!

The last two years have been a tough time for all of us, not least the young people who are the future of our game.

To help your players become the best they can be, we’d like to invite you to take part in a fantastic new initiative that has been created by Movember, in partnership with RL Cares and delivered by current and former professional Rugby League players.

Ahead of the renowned ‘Ahead of the Game’ initiative which forms a key part of RLWC2021’s Mental Fitness Charter, over the next few months our team of past and present players will be delivering fun, free training sessions for junior coaches and their players (U12-U18).

The players – who include former internationals Keith Senior, Robbie Hunter-Paul and Paul Wood, will lead the new on-field sessions and off-field team talks which are specially designed to help your players forge stronger team bonds, create camaraderie, and build their match fitness and mental resilience.

If you’d like your players to be the best they can be, sign-up here.

Rugby League Cares will contact you directly to arrange your club’s ‘Ahead of the Game’ sessions at a time that suits you and your players.

There are two separate sessions available:

For Teams: Session 1 – Help out a mate – 30-minute Team Talk, 30-minute on field coaching

Professional players (current & former) support your club teams to bond, build skills for mental resilience, teach when to ask for help and understand how to spot signs that a teammate might need help.

For Teams: Session 2 – The Challenge – 30-minute Team Talk, 30-minute on field training support from a Professional

Challenge your team to believe in themselves, play to their strengths, control the controllable, problem solve, manage their thoughts, and keep their cool.
